ISLAMABAD: As many as six people have been taken in custody during raids in twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi over charges of attack on Pak Army camp located in Gujrat.
It should be mentioned here that seven security personnel, including a police official, were killed and five others were injured when unknown assailants opened fire on a riverside encampment near Gujrat on Monday morning (on July 9).
According to sources, spy agencies conducted raids in different areas of Rawalpindi and Islamabad and captured six saboteurs, who were reported to have been abetting the assailants.
The arrested terrorists have been shifted to undisclosed location for interrogations, the sources informed adding significant headway has been achieved towards identification of the attackers.
It is pertinent to note here that Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) claimed responsibility of the Gujrat attack. SAMAA
