KARACHI: Qamar Raza, the Deputy Director of an intelligence agency, was gunned down here Saturday in Karachi, SAMAA reports.
Officials said Qamar Raza was on his way in a car when unknown attackers on two motorbikes intercepted his vehicle and sprayed it with a volley of bullets in F.C area, within the remits of Sharifabad police station.
The assailants managed to flee from the scene, while the officer died on the spot. His dead body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed hospital for medico-legal formalities.
High officials of police, Rangers and intelligence agencies arrived in the hospital following the incident.
The death toll from today’s political and sectarian violence has reached to eight, with three young brothers, associated with a religious group, killed in Surjani Town area. -- SAMAA
