Karachi violence leaves 2 dead

KARACHI: At least two persons were shot dead in different incidents of firing in the city on Saturday.

Ali Madad was killed by unidentified gunmen outside his home at Mughal Hazara village near Gulistan-e-Jauhar.

Tension prevailed in the area after the killing and shops were closed. His body was sent to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center (JPMC) and then to Edhi morgue.

In a separated incident, unknown gunmen opened fire on a car in Liaqatabad area, leaving a 40-year-old Muslim Khan dead. Khan’s dead body was sent to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.

On the other hand, East Zone police arrested as many as 22 suspects involved in various crimes and recovered weapons, drugs and other goods from their custody. SAMAA
