Rehman Malik wants to be buried in Islamabad

Staff Report

ISLAMABAD: Senior Advisor on Interior Affairs Rehman Malik has said that he has advised in his last will that he should be buried in Islamabad after death.

Speaking to newsmen outside the Parliament here on Friday, Malik said he had surrendered his British citizenship in 2008.

“The whole world knows under which circumstances I had to get the foreign nationality,” he said.

The Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA) will not be allowed to take the law into its hand, he added, saying it dos not matter that the MMA holds a long march or a short march.

NATO containers' protection is a responsibility of the provincial governments, he said, adding the government would make sure of its implementation.

The senior adviser said initiating legislation is the prerogative of the government. The Parliament, he said, will soon introduce a legislation regarding dual nationality. SAMAA
