RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani has convened Corps Commanders’ meeting next week, SAMAA reported on Thursday.

The top leadership of the army will be taken into confidence over resumption of NATO supply and cooperation with Afghan and ISAF troops at Pak-Afghan border.

According to sources, the top army leadership will review recent developments, secret information regarding war against terrorism and situation at the borders in the meeting.

The meeting will also mull over new developments under recently taken decisions by the Defense Committee of the Cabinet (DCC).

Pakistan Army’s professional issues, capabilities to tackle any possible challenge, preparations for tasks and border matters will be discussed in the meeting as well. SAMAA
