Security beefed up in Karachi for Shab-e-Barat

KARACHI: As many as 10,000 security personnel will perform their duties on the occasion of Shab-e-Barat, the night of salvation, as the security has been beefed up in the city due to the occasion, SAMAA reported Thursday.

There will be snap checking, picketing and patrolling especially in the sensitive areas as well as at the entry and exit points of the city.

The faithful will worship, offer special prayers and ‘Nuafils’ on the occasion. They would also visit the graves of their near and dear ones.

The city areas like Sakhi Hasan, Mewa Shah, Paposh Nagar, Katti Pahari, Dalmia, Tariq Road, Orangi Town, Model Colony, Landhi, Malir, Korangi, Liaqatabad, Gulistan-e-Jauhar and etc will have more security than normal. SAMAA
