LONDON: MQM leader Altaf Hussain on Sunday spoke to Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf on phone and reiterated his party’s support.
The two leaders exchanged views on the current political situation.
Hussain stressed that all the challenges being faced by the country should be addressed in a democratic manner.
“Prime Minister should work to alleviate the people’s issues. MQM will stand by him,” he said.
He said that the government should expedite efforts to amend the existing law, allowing Pakistanis with dual citizenship to participate in the elections.
On this occasion, PM Raja lauded Hussain’s role for democracy and added his government would soon start legislation for the holders of dual nationality. SAMAA
