ISLAMABAD: British Prime Minister David Cameron today contacted Raja Pervaiz Ashraf on telephone and felicitated him over his appointment as Pakistan’s new Prime Minister.

The National Assembly elected Raja Pervez Ashraf as the country's new prime minister last Friday, seeking to end a political upheaval.

Cameron also invited his Pakistani counterpart to make a visit to UK.

Thanking Cameron, PM Ashraf said both countries have old ties, which will be further strengthened. SAMAA
