ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court (SC) Tuesday directed the federal government to make appointments on the positions lying vacant in special courts.
Hearing a case regarding the appointments in special courts, the bench ordered the government to appoint judges within three days and produce a report in this regard before the court on July 2 after the implementation of the judicial order.
The apex court noted the accused are being set free on bail owing to the shortage of judges, adding several judges of anti-corruption and banking courts are without judges for over a year now. SAMAA
