LAHORE: The pre-monsoon rainfall coupled with gusty winds and dust storms broke the heat spell in parts of Punjab on Sunday, SAMAA reports.
According to Metrological department, the Lahore city on Sunday evening experienced winds as fast as 72 kilometers per hour, engulfing the city atmosphere with dust.
It said moderate rains were recorded in various cities of Punjab today, breaking the prolonged heat wave.
The Met department says pre-monsoon rains are likely from Tuesday in the country which may further bring the mercury down. -- SAMAA
