LAHORE: A petition has been filed in the Lahore High Court today against former Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani for recovery of his post disqualification days’ foreign tours, SAMAA reported on Wednesday.
Advocate Azhar Siddiq, a local lawyer has filed this petition in the Lahore High Court this day, stating the prime minister had been convicted on April 26 but he continued holding of his office and performing all related tasks as usual.
The petition states further, during this period, he went on many foreign tours and issued some orders in the capacity of prime minister of the country; now the Supreme Court has declared that he stood disqualified on April 26, after conviction.
The Buget and all other orders issued by the prime minister, since disqualification to removal day, should be declared illegal and expenses of foreign tours should be recovered from Yousuf Raza Gilani, Added Advocate Azhar Siddiq in the petition. SAMAA
