Technical fault causes blackouts in several Karachi localities

KARACHI: Dozens of localities of Karachi had to suffer from long power cuts on Saturday due a technical fault in KESC system that affected more than 25 grid stations.

The affected areas include Federal B. Area, Azizabad, Buffer Zone and Gulshan-e-Iqbal, North Nazimabad, Nazimabad, Landhi, Korangi, Malir and Shah Faisal Colony.

Electricity consumers were seen visiting their nearest complaint centers.

A KESC spokesman claimed that the fault was in Wapda’s main supply line. SAMAA
