Govt slashes petroleum, CNG prices

ISLAMABAD: The government has reduced the price of petroleum products by Rs11.75/ liter but the CNG consumers will not get full relief from June 16 with the ratio of petrol.

Addressing a press conference, Information and Broadcasting Minister Qamar Zaman Kaira said the government has reduced petrol by Rs10.46 per litre, High Octany by Rs11.75, High Speed Diesel by Rs6.8per litre, Kerosene Oil by Rs5.26per litre and Light Disel by Rs5.2/litre.

The new petrol price will be Rs89.51/litre while High Octane will be Rs.113.32/litre.

According to a notification issued by OGRA, CNG price has also come down by Rs4.80 per kilogram in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan and Pothohar regions. In Sindh and Punjab, CNG will be available at Rs4.31 per litre.

The Petroleum Minister said there would be phase-wise removal of CNG stations.
