Karachi violence toll mounts to six

KARACHI: The ongoing violence in the metropolis took toll of another six people including a policeman, SAMAA reports Friday. Meantime, police claimed having arrested at least four saboteurs and seized hand grenades from their possession.

According to details, three people lost lives in different areas of Garden. According to police sources, 50-year Ayub was killed in a firing incident near Fawwara Chowk.

Some armed men shot an abducted youth, 28, in Ramswami area and fled the spot. The body of youth was recovered with his eyes blindfolded and hands tied behind his back.

According to police sources, a 45-year man Razzaq Muhammed was sprayed with bullets incident near Jilani Masjid in Garden East. Body of the deceased was brought to Civil Hospital.

The firing incident unleashed tension in numerous areas including Ramswami, Dhobi Ghat, Usmanabad and Haji Camp of the city.

In a firing incident in Jamshed Quarters area of Jahangir Road, two motorcyclists gunned down a youth Asif and injured another. Later on, residents of the area protested on Jahangir Road against the incident.

A firing incident that occurred near Rehri chowk in Site Area of Pathan Colony, killed a constable Abdul Qayyum while he was standing outside his house and injured another man. Both the deceased and the injured were brought to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.

Another man Adnan was critically injured in a firing incident near Paposhnagar Cemetery in Nazimabad.

Meantime, the city police claimed to have arrested four dangerous criminal involved in over 20 target killings in the metropolis and seized from their possession four hand grenades, three 7MM rifles and four pistols, according to police sources. SAMAA
