ISLAMABAD: Creating waves in national political scenario, Malik Riaz, the central character of Arsalan Iftikhar case, pointed finger at the Chief Justice of Pakistan and questioned transparency of the Supreme Court’s suo moto in alleged graft case, SAMAA reports.
In what many described as media trail of the judiciary, the business tycoon directly attacked Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry and his son.
He claimed that the CJP had held meetings with him and alleged that Arsalan had accepted millions of rupees in business deals and during his London visit.
He, however, did not present any documental evidence before the media.
“I officered a bullet-proof van to CJP for his safety,” Riaz told reporters, carrying the Holy Quran in his hand.
Riaz faced scathing questions hurled by the reporters, but evaded many of them, concluding his press conference in less than 35 minutes.
Riaz said he would unveil more things in press conference after three days. -- SAMAA
