Karachi: Shershah firing kills former Sindh MPA's brother

KARACHI: The bhatta (extortion) mafia are still at large in the metropolis, as another man was killed in the recent firing incident for declining to give extortion money this morning, SAMAA reports Tuesday.

The incident took place in the city’s scrap market Shershah Kabari Bazaar, where gunmen hailing from a bhatta group targeted traders for not capitulating to their demands, killing a man Kherat Ali and injuring the other.

The two men were the brothers of Shakir Ali—Sindh’s former lawmaker hailing from Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM).

The firing incident triggered panic in the entire area. SAMAA
