ISLAMABAD: Dr. Arsalan, son of Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Iftikhar Muhammed Chaudhry, filed a plea at the Supreme Court (SC) to register an FIR against Malik Riaz, a business tycoon for defaming him, SAMAA reports Monday.
Arsalan’s plea takes allegations leveled in media as the basis for filing an FIR against Malik Riaz. The CJP Chaudhry’s son said in his plea that his father expelled him from his house; hence, he should be afforded security.
The plea requested the apex court to seek the whole record from secretary of Bahria Town—the estate empire owned by Malik Riaz.
Dr. Arsalan said in his appeal that Malik Riaz holds videos of his family, as the case is currently being heard in the apex court, adding any other material, if possessed by Malik Riaz, should be stanched from being made public.
The plea states such record including photographs and videos could be produced before the apex court.
The Chief Justice’s son also pleaded the court to issue order to arrest Malik Riaz and stopped him from churning out propaganda against him (Arsalan).
Meantime, the estate king Riaz’s counsel Zahid Hussain Bukhari noted his client will arrive in Pakistan tonight, adding he will plead the court for more time for Riaz’s statement.
He said Ali Zafar Advocate will plead Bahria Town case. SAMAA
