Islamabad: Bid to smuggle 7-kg heroin foiled

ISLAMABAD: An attempt to smuggle heroin worth million of rupees was thwarted at Islamabad airport on Sunday.

According to reports, Customs staff checked the luggage of a passenger and found seven kilograms of heroin hidden in it.

The accused, identified as Azam, a resident of Gujrant, was to board a foreign airline which was to fly to France via Dubai.

Authorities say the suspect appear to be the member of any big group.

The suspected smuggler was arrested for interrogation. SAMAA
