Faisalabad power protest firing injures two

Staff Report
FAISALABAD: Known as the textile hub of Pakistan, the city once again on Thursday witnessed protest demonstration against protracted spans of power outages.

The demonstrators went on rampage on several places and during their bid to force the closure of shops, allegedly invited gunfire from the shopkeepers.

At least two demonstrators were reported injured in the firing.

Rising in rage against the ongoing load shedding durations, the protesters ran amok on Narowala Road in Ghulamabad and also went on looting spree. SAMAA
