ISLAMABAD: The disciplinary committee of Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has penalized seven players for participating in a rebel Indian hockey league.
Speaking to journalists in Lahore today (Tuesday), PHF Secretary Asif Bajwa announced all those players who had featured in unofficial World Series Hockey League in India have been fined.
Senior duo Shakil Abbasi and Rehan Butt have been fined Rs1 million each while other five players will have to pay Rs250, 000/- each.
He said that an appeal could be filed against the monetary fine within seven days. SAMAA
