KARACHI: At least four more people including a worker of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) have been gunned down this morning in the metropolis, pushing the overall death toll during the past 24 hours to 14, SAMAA reports Tuesday.
The most recent occurrence took place in Banaras Pathan Colony where body of a strangulated 15-year boy was recovered from gutter. The body had noose around its neck.
Another body bundled into a gunnysack was found from Northern Bypass. The deceased has been identified as Jameel. He was a political worker.
According to police sources, a 35-year motorcyclist Niaz Ali was shot dead in Gul Goth in the remit of Sohrab Goth Police Station. The deceased, a resident of Mulla Eesa Goth, was a civilian employee of Pakistan Navy. He received six bullets.
According to police sources, Sherbaz Khan, a cousin of the deceased was also killed 18 days ago. The murder is the result of old enmity.
Meantime, a man was killed in a firing incident near Mauripur truck stand. Body of the deceased was brought to Civil Hospital.
Also, unidentified miscreants ambushed a clinic located in Korangi-3 killing SP Admin East zone Shah Muhammed shortly and Dr. Dilshad. The police official visited the clinic for his medical treatment. The funeral prayer was offered in Garden Police Headquarters.
Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat’s Mufti Zeeshan and an operative Danish were shot to death in an incident of sectarian killing in Zia Colony of Gulshan-e-Iqbal.
Dr. Tariq lost his live in Orangi Town-11.5 in the ongoing violence. A body was recovered from Korangi telephone exchange.
Motorcyclist miscreants gunned down another man Imran in Joria Bazaar.
Meantime, Adnan, who was injured in a firing incident in Clifton Underpass, succumbed to injuries today. At least six people sustained injuries in separate firing incidents in different areas of the city including Gulistan-e-Jauhar, Shrafi Goth, New Karachi Power House and Nazimabad. SAMAA
