Nawaz orders long march preparations

Staff Report

LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) President and former two-time Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Friday asked his party leaders to start preparations for a long march to oust the government.

Senior PML-N leader Ghaus Ali Shah confirmed to SAMAA that a final decisoin to hold a long march has been taken.

Nawaz Sharif’s call for the long march came a day after power blackouts triggered violent protests across Punjab.

Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif joined the protesters and threatened to remove the central government. SAMAA
