Suspected BLA arms suppliers sent on 6-day physical remand

Staff Report

KARACHI: Three suspected arms suppliers linked to banned Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) were produced before a local court on Tuesday.

The suspects were handed over to police of Crime Information Department (CID) on a six-day physical remand.

The suspected arms suppliers, Abdul Ghaffar Bugti, Shamsuddin Bugti and Sifal Bugti, were apprehended from Shershah on Monday. Nine rockets and hundreds of bullets were claimed to have been recovered from their custody.

The CID produced the accused before the CID and sought their physical remands, which was granted.

Police say the suspects were supplying arms to Lyari gangsters by public transport.

On the other hand, suspects say they are laborers who have no connection with the banned BLA. SAMAA
