US working closely with Pakistan: Toner

Staff Report

WASHINGTON: U.S. has said that it is working closely with Pakistan in the Warren Weinstein case, reports SAMAA on Monday.

US State Department spokesperson Mark Toner told journalists during daily press briefing that US administration backs State Secretary Hillary Clinton’s remarks concerning with Hafiz Saeed which she stated recently in India.

He said “we are very very concerned for the safety and well-being of US’s aid worker Warren Weinstein.”

High-level officials are co-operating with Pakistani law enforcement agencies for safe and sound release of abducted Warren Weinstein, he observed. SAMAA
