Multan lawyers clash at pro-judiciary convention

Staff Report

MULTAN: Two groups of lawyers clashed in Multan on Monday during a convention of Multan High Court Bar Association (MHCBA).

The convention was being held to show solidarity with judiciary.

One group of lawyers started chanting slogans against Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani when the convention was under way.

In response, lawyers belonging to Peoples Lawyers Forum (PLF) chanted pro-PM slogans.

The two groups first exchanged harsh words before brawl took place. As a result, the convention was ended immediately. SAMAA
