ISLAMABAD: The judicial commission probing the Memogate scandal Saturday ordered forensic test of Mansoor Ijaz’s BlackBerry phone in London.
The commission also rejected the documents submitted by former Pakistan ambassador to Washington Hussain Haqqani.
Justice Qazi Faiz Essa presided over the commission’s meeting.
It rejected a plea of Zahid Bokhari, the counsel of Haqqani, to make Haqqani’s proof as part of the record over objection of Mansoor Ijaz.
Secretary for the memo commission Raja Jawad Abbas has been asked to go to London for forensic test of Ijaz’ BlackBerry sets.
The secretary will handed over the sets to forensic experts in the presence of Mansoor Ijaz.
Husain Haqqani’s counsel Zahid Bukhari summed up his arguments where he told the court that Ijaz was of dubious character, who has not been able to back up his statements with proof. SAMAA
