KARACHI: Inspector General of Sind Police (IGP) Mushtaq Ahmed Shah Saturday said he had no prior idea of the kind of weapons freely employed by miscreants during Lyari operation.
Expressing his satisfaction over the developments hitherto made in connection with the operation conducted against multiple mafias operating from the area, the IG Shah noted, “I am satisfied over the operation conducted so far.”
Talking to SAMAA TV, Sindh police chief said weapons including launchers, steel bullets and anti-aircraft guns were heavily used, adding it seemed some fight is in progress on border.
‘We will push forward the Lyari operation with new strategy,’ he added noting the mischief-mongers put up far more resistance than was expected.
The provincial police chief Shah said Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) is monitoring the miscreants arrested from Lyari. SAMAA
