ISLAMABAD: After rejecting OGRA proposal to decrease petroleum products’ prices, the government has announced of keeping petroleum products unchanged in May.
When oil prices increased in world markets in March, then petroleum products’ prices had been increased by the government above Rs. 100 per liter for the month of April.
Now oil prices in global markets have come down and people of the country were expecting that the government will reduce prices of petroleum products for the month of May but the finance ministry increased petroleum levy on POL products and kept all profit of reduced oil prices to itself, instead of passing that to public.
Except light diesel, all other petroleum products’ prices have been kept same for May. Light diesel’s price has been reduced by Re. 1.31 per liter. SAMAA
