KARACHI: Six people were killed and five others wounded in separate incidents of firing in Karachi on Monday.
According to reports, tension and fear have gripped several parts of the city, including Malir and old city areas.
Unknown gunmen opened indiscriminate fire on Shershah Pankha Hotel, killing three people. Two of the victims were identified as Muhammad Rizwan and Junaid Ansari.
The killing sparked panic in the locality.
In another incident, unidentified miscreants torched three vehicles in Federal B Area and Shershah.
Separately, one person was shot dead in Malir, leading to closure of shops and markets.
Two vehicles were set on fire in Mohabbat Nagar.
Two persons were shot and killed in New Karachi and PIB Colony.
Police officials say that heavy police deployment has been made in troubled areas. SAMAA
