KARACHI: Sindh Government is all set to issue schedule of the local bodies’ elections across the province in December this year, SAMAA reported on Friday.

Under ruling of the Supreme Court, the Sindh Government has finalized its reply regarding local bodies’ polls in the province; according to reply decide for submitting in the court, the schedule of local bodies’ elections will be issued in December.

A special meeting chaired by Sindh CM Qaim Ali Shah was held in the CM House this day over local bodies’ elections. Sindh Local Bodies’ Minister Agha Siraj Durani, Chief Secretary of Sindh, Law Secretary, Local Bodies’ Secretary and Advocate General of Sindh were present in the meeting.

The meeting decided that on Monday, May 30, the Sindh Advocate General will submit reply in the Quetta Registry of the Supreme Court and inform it that the Sindh Government would issue schedule of local bodies’ polls in December.

Sindh CM, Qaim Ali Shah has signed the summary of submitting reply in the Supreme Court. SAMAA
