Bilour slams SC judge over railway remarks

Staff Report

ISLAMABAD: The Parliament is also a respected institution like the Supreme Court, Railway Minister Ghulam Ahmed Bilour said on Tuesday.

Responding to remarks of Justice Arif Khilji today, Bilour said judges needed to show respect to others if they themselves wanted to be respected.

On Monday, Justice Arif Khilji remarked that those who got 11 percent votes would run the railway in a way being run currently.

“I have won the election of National Assembly for four times,” Bilour said.

“I also took part in struggle for independence of judiciary and media.”

My transparent career demands I should be respected, he concluded. SAMAA
