BANNU: A high-profile prsioner, who escaped on Sunday along with 383 other inmates, was found dead at Pang area in Bannu today (Tuesday).
Meanwhile, a two-member team, constituted by Dost Muhammad Khan, Chief Justice of Peshawar High Court, to investigate the jail break, recorded statements of prison staff.
So far 92 prisoners have been recaptured.
According to police sources, Ayub Khan, a prisoner of death row, was found dead in Pang area.
The probe team comprises of Additional Registrar Peshawar High Court Bannu Bench Ashfaq Taj and District and Session Judge Muhammad Adil Khan.
The two-member team recorded the statements of jail staff at Bannu Jail.
Security forces have rearrested 92 inmates, including those who surrendered voluntarily.
The provincial government has suspended IG Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Akbar Khan Hoti, IG Prison, Commissioner Bannu Division, DIG Bannu Zones and Superintendent Jail. SAMAA
