ISLAMABAD: Pakistan's Defence Committee of the Cabinet (DCC), after changing its schedule for the third time, has decided to meet this evening, SAMAA reports Tuesday.
It should be mentioned here that Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani called the meeting of the defence committee of the federal cabinet to take place Tuesday evening to finalize a decision on NATO supplies.
However, the sources said the meeting was postponed to take place tomorrow, citing the busy schedule of the DCC’s members. In the recent development, the meeting has been re-scheduled to take place on its previous time i.e. this evening.
The meeting chaired by Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani will take stock of the recommendations put forward by Parliamentary Committee on National Security (PCNS).
It should be mentioned here that the Parliament adopted these recommendations in its joint session in the first week of the current month.
The meeting is expected to finalize a decision on ties with the US and supplies to NATO forces stationed in Afghanistan.
Various high officials including chiefs of all armed forces and ministers of defence, foreign, interior and information will attend the meeting. SAMAA
