Majlis Wahdat Al-Muslimeen ends week-long sit-in

ISLAMABAD: After successful dialogue with Interior Minister Abdul Rehman Malik, Majlis Wahdat Al-Muslimeen has announced to end an eight-day long sit-in in Islamabad late Friday night, reports SAMAA.

Minister said a judicial commission would be constituted to investigate recently occurred Challas and Gilgit tragedies.

Dialogue between Malik and the Ulemas of the Majlis lasted for four hours. Interior minister, agreeing to meet all demands, assured strict action against assailants involved in Challas mayhem.

Later, the leaders of the Majlis announced ending of the sit-in, but warned of restaging sit-in after two weeks against the government’s failure to implement their demands.

Also, the minister announced formation of judicial commission for investigation into both atrocities, directing it to submit report within one month. SAMAA

no media coverage on the protesters sitting is Islamabad sitting in front of PM house. How media is independent?
