QUETTA: At least six persons have been shot dead and several others hurt by some unidentified armed attackers on Quetta’s Prince Road today, SAMAA reported on Monday.
According to initial reports, some unknown armed terrorists opened indiscriminate firing at a shop on Prince Road this evening, leaving four persons dead on the spot while several others hurt.
The police and rescue teams rushed to the shooting site and moved the dead bodies and injured to Civil Hospital and cordoned off the area.
Later on, two more persons succumbed to injuries while receiving medical aide in the hospital and death toll mounted to six. It is feared that the death toll can mount further as many injured are in critical condition.
Most of the firing victims belong to Hazara community. After shifting of the dead bodies and injured to Civil Hospital, victims’ relatives and community members turned furious and they started agitation and damaging hospital belongings.
The police have said that this was an incident of target killings and unidentified armed attackers targeted these innocent people with their arbitrary firing. SAMAA
