Karachi: Report on Malir Halt blast prepared

KARACHI: The preliminary investigation report on the suicide blast that rocked Malir Halt area yesterday morning, has been readied, SAMAA reports Friday.

According to police sources, the blast was a suicide bombing and the attacker came to the site on foot. The motorbike which was earlier reported to have been rigged with explosives, belonged to a vendor who used to sell things at his stall on bus-stop.

Additional Police Surgeon Dr. Jalil Qadir told head and some other body organs of the suicide attacker were garnered from the blast site. The DNA samples have been sent to Islamabad for test to identify the attacker.

Initial post-mortem report of the citizens killed in the bombing has been prepared. Three people have been identified as Ata Muhammed, Adeel and Lal Badshah. However, body of an old man could not be identified as yet. SAMAA
