Nawaz Sharif agrees to attend NSC meeting on PM Gilani's request

Staff Report

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani succeeded today in persuading PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif for attending National Security Committee (NSC) meeting tomorrow, SAMAA reported on Wednesday.

Apparently, the PML-N has adopted stiff attitude against the government but it seems that the PPP is also aware of successfully persuading it when needed.

The PML-N was not agreeing to attend the NSC meeting as it was on a boycott against hike in petroleum products’ prices but today PM Gilani just telephoned once and Nawaz Sharif agreed upon attending NSC meeting tomorrow.

According to a statement issued from the PM House, the PM requested Nawaz Sharif to end boycott and join the NSC meeting.

While responding to request, Nawaz Sharif assured PM Gilani that the PML-N will attend the NSC meeting tomorrow. SAMAA
