Newlywed woman kills hubby in Lahore

Staff Report

LAHORE: Under unknown circumstances, a newlywed woman shot her husband dead just 15 days after their love-marriage, against parents' will, in Lahore, SAMAA reports.

Shazia claimed that her hubby, Safi Ullah, was forcing her into prostitution. However, claims of the victim’s brothers contradict statement of the killing wife.

Shazia, who belonged to Narowal city of Punjab, surrendered herself to the police with the gun after shooting her husband down, to whom she wedded just 15 days ago.

Police are perplexed over this unique murder case; they say that the case was very complicated as the lady has blamed her deceased husband that he was forcefully pushing her into prostitution while the victim’s brothers claim that their murdered brother was a ‘gentleman’, claiming that Shazia left her home to marry deceased Safi Ullah against her family's will.

They told the police that Shazia’s brothers must be involved in the murder as they were repeatedly threatening the couple for marrying without their consent.

On the other hand, Shazia justifies her crime, insisting that her husband was forcing her to work as a prostitute.

The truth will be unveiled after completion of the investigation that Shazia had really murdered her husband or she has falsly claimed it for saving her brothers. SAMAA
