ISLAMABAD: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman said the parliamentary committee formed on the issue of Karachi, should be delegated complete powers to probe the incident that marred the peace of the city.
Expressing solidarity with Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leaders staging a sit-in outside the Parliament House after walkout from the joint session scheduled to mull recommendations concerning Pak-US relations, he said the people of Karachi deserve sympathy over the circumstances under which they are leading their lives.
It should be mentioned here that a senior worker from the MQM's PIB Colony Sector Mansoor Mukhtar was killed inside his residence by the miscreants who forced into his house and opened gunfire at the family members critically injuring his brother Masood Mukhtar and sister-in-law Uzma Mukhtar.
His brother later succumbed to injuries at the hospital.
Over 35 vehicles were torched in the subsequent mayhem in the city where at least eight people lost their lives today. SAMAA
