Karachi unrest: MQM announces mourning across Sindh

Staff Report
KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s (MQM) Rabita (Coordination) Committee has announced Sindh-wide mourning over the death of its activist in the city, SAMAA reports Tuesday.

Muttahida’s central decision making body, condemning in strong words the killing of its operative in the PIB Colony, announced the mourning across the province.

Rabita Committee said the killing of PIB Sector member is an incident of brazen terrorism, adding the terrorists hailing from Lyari Gangwar barging into the house of Mansoor Mukhtar, gunned him down and injured his brother Maqsood Mukhtar and his sister-in-law Uzma Maqsood.

Rabita Committee noted that Mansoor’s brother and his wife are in critical state.

It should be mentioned here in Nishtar Colony of the same area, an MQM sympathizer Muhammed Yousuf was injured with gunshots and Muhammed Amjad was injured in Ghosia Colony.

Rabita Committee demanded President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani, Sindh Home Minister Manzoor Wassan and Sindh Governor Dr. Ishratul Ebad Khan to summarily arrest the saboteurs who are at large on killing spree in the metropolis. SAMAA
