LONDON: In backdrop of a mishap occurred during a procession taken out yesterday (Friday) by a political party in Karachi, Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain contacted President Asif Ali Zardari and Federal Interior Minister Rehman A. Malik for the inquiry into the mishap.
Altaf Hussain contacting the high leadership of the country over telephone, condemned the violent incidents during a rally by a nationalist party in Karachi.
Federal Interior Minister Rehman A. Malik, taking notice of the incident, formed a three-member committee for probe into the incident.
The MQM chief demanded President Zardari to summarily arrest the miscreants and pay the recompense to the women who were robbed of valuables during a rally by Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz (JSQM).
The federal minister Malik assured Altaf that the miscreants involved in the incident will be arrested.
On the occasion, the Muttahida chief congratulated Malik on receiving Nishan-e-Imtiaz. SAMAA
