Pakistan voices concerns over Afghan civilians’ killings

Staff Report
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Friday voiced grave concerns over the killings of Afghanistan’s civilians by a frenzied US solider in Kandahar a couple of days ago.

Foreign Office Spokesman Abdul Basit said in today’s weekly briefing that Pak government will take up steps in connection with the restoration of NATO supply lines and relations with International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) only in line with the recommendations forwarded by Parliamentary Committee on National Security (PCNS).

The US will have to immediately bring its missile strikes on Pakistani soil to a halt, otherwise, the war on terror will be impacted, the FO spokesman stressed adding these airstrikes are wholly unlawful.

Underlining as vital development the departure of Judicial Commission on investigations of Mumbai attacks, Abdul Basit remarked it is expected of India to apprise Pakistan before long about any headway achieved in probe of Samjhauta Express tragedy.

The foreign office spokesman said he is not aware of the next Pakistan visit by US Special Representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan Ambassador Marc Grossman. SAMAA
