Shahbaz terms acid throwing on women as ‘terrorism’

Staff Report

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif said that throwing acid on women is terrorism, SAMAA reported on Saturday.

Those who throw acid on women will be dealt according to the terrorism act, the CM said.

The government will bear all the expenses of affected women’s plastic surgery and other treatment issues, he said.

On the other hand, the government of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) has initiated efforts to legalize the framework that would punish the culprits who are involved in acid throwing incidents. SAMAA
