SUKKUR: Sukkur police claimed rescuing two officials of a private bank, abducted two months ago, after a brief encounter with abductors, reports SAMAA Friday.
Source said the covert operation was carried out in the suburbs of the Sukkur district on the secret intelligence received by the security agency regarding the whereabouts of the kidnapped duo.
Subsequently, the abductees, identified as Iqbal Sheikh and Raees Ahmed, were successfully rescued from the captivity of kidnappers after police encounted with offenders, police sources said.
Meanwhile, a police personnel sustained injuries during operation who has been shifted to hospital for first aid, sources maintained. SAMAA
