PESHAWAR: Three policemen were killed and as many wounded on Friday when three suicide bombers blew themselves up at a police station in Peshawar.
According to police, three militants, wearing suicide vests, attacked Kotwali Police Station with hand grenades. They forced their way into the police station and blew themselves up.
The explosion injured six policemen, who were rushed to Lady Reading Hospital. However, three of the injured, including a Sub-inspector, succumbed to their wounds.
Hospital administration says two other policemen are also in critical condition.
Speaking to newsmen, Peshawar Capital City Police Officer Imtiaz Altaf confirmed the casualties. SAMAA
