PESHAWAR: At least 10 people were killed and nearly 40 others injured in a powerful blast in the city area of Kohat Road, SAMAA reports Thursday.
The blast was so powerful that it destroyed at least 20 vehicles parked nearby.
The injured and bodies have been shifted to nearby Lady Reading Hospital.
According to Rescue 1122 sources, the blast occurred near Kohat Bus Stop near Wakhupul area.
The bomb was planted in a car at the station, and around 40 kilogrammes of explosives were used," police official Shafqat Malik told reporters.
Thursday's bombing targeted one of Peshawar's busiest areas.
Police and emergency officials said the death toll was expected to rise as there was a rush of passengers when the bomb exploded, and many of the wounded were in critical condition. SAMAA
