ISLAMABAD: The senators hailing from Awami National Party (ANP) called on Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani and assured him of unqualified cooperation for the stability of the democratic government.

The ANP senators congratulated the Prime Minister on passage of 20th Amendment in the National Assembly and hoped that it would be adopted in Senate, too.

The PM Gilani noted it is incumbent upon all the parliamentarians to safeguard the democracy in the country.

Meantime, Senators Abdur Razzaq and Hafiz Rasheed from the FATA also met the PM Gilani and reposed their confidence in his leadership for the strength of the institutions. SAMAA
