Haj corruption case adjourned till Feb 14

RAWALPINDI: A Rawalpindi court on Saturday adjourned the hearing into Haj corruption case till February 14.

The accused are likely to be indicted in the next hearing.

Former Religious Affairs Minister Hamid Saeed Kazmi, former Haj DG Rao Shakil and former Joint Secretary Religious Affairs Ministry Aftab ul Islam appeared before Special Judge Central Khalid Bashir.

During the hearting, three accused were given provisional chalan.

Speaking to journalists after the hearing, Hamid Saeed Kazmi said reopening of his foreign currency account at a court’s order is the proof of his innocence. SAMAA
