LAHORE: In order to provide relief to domestic consumers, the government has directed CNG station owners in Punjab to shut down filling stations for six hours a day, SAMAA reports.
Sources said the decision was taken by Sui Northern Gas Company. In the first phase, they said, it would be implemented in Lahore and Sheikhupura where the fuel supply to gas stations would be suspended for three hours in morning and evening, 6 pm to 9 pm.
Officials said the decision was taken to ensure smooth gas supply to domestic consumers at the time of preparing dinner and breakfast.
On the other hand, CNG strike was partially observed in Lahore, with thin traffic on roads, adding to the miseries of commuters.-- SAMAA
