QUETTA: At least thirteen people have been killed and 23 others injured in a blast that occurred near former federal minister Naseer Mengal’s house situated at Raisani Chowk, SAMAA reported on Friday evening.
Police cordoned off blast area after the incident.
Interior Minister Rehman Malik has demanded a report regarding the blast.
FIA directed to collect evidence from the blast site.
Miscreants at the blast site tortured SAMAA TV’s team.
Nearby houses and buildings were partially destroyed and caught fire due to the blast at Arbab Karam road.
All the injured have been shifted to nearby civil hospital and Bolan Medical Hospital.
Sources say more casualties feared in the blast.

The police officials said that it was unclear whether the driver was inside the car or left it after parking.
Police said that majority of the people killed in the blast were passersby.
"We are facing difficulties to know about the nature of the blast because many of the witnesses who were present at the scene have been killed," said Kurd.
